About Me

With over 15 years of experience in education, I am passionate about helping children and young people understand how they learn and develop the skills and confidence to reach their full potential.

I specialise in early reading and phonics and have extensive experience supporting children with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including dyslexia, ADHD, autism, anxiety, selective mutism and dyspraxia. I understand that every learner is unique, and I believe that effective teaching begins with identifying an individual's strengths, understanding the specific areas of literacy they find challenging, and tailoring support to meet their needs.

I firmly believe that dyslexic learners are often highly able individuals with many valuable strengths, including creative problem-solving, approaching challenges from different perspectives and thinking outside the box. My aim is to recognise and nurture these strengths while providing targeted support to overcome barriers to learning.

Through specialist assessment and personalised teaching, I strive to help every child and young person feel understood, build confidence and discover their own potential.
